Calpella California Information

North of the city of Ukiah on Highway 101, the very tiny town of Calpella sits amid pretty terrain near neighboring towns that are becoming quite well-known as prime wine-growing regions. Calpella was named after a local Indian chief and today remains more of an 'area' than an actual town.

At 639 feet in elevation, you can capture some nice views from Calpella so be sure to have your camera handy. Many travelers, however, will overlook the town in favor of stops at Ukiah to grab a bite to eat (2 miles to the south) or some wine-tasting in Redwood Valley (9 miles north). Lodging and restaurants are not available in Calpella.
