Holiday Open House at Grace Hudson Museum and Sun House

The Sun House will shine with Christmas decorations and the Museum will resound with the harmonies of Ukiah Madrigal Singers during Grace Hudson Museum's Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 5, from 11-3 p.m. Visitors will enjoy a unique one-stop shopping opportunity in the Museum store, where high-quality books, jewelry, ceramics, T-shirts, and more will be offered at a 15% discount, as well as in the Museum's patio and meeting room, where local companies and artisans will be selling specialty products at affordable prices. Local vendors include McFadden Farms, Tres Classique, Carol Hall’s Hot Pepper Jelly Co, Soapathecary, the Yokayo Textile Guild, Wax & Bing Ceramics, and Adriana Dakin's Horsetail Studio.
Santa Claus will be happy to greet Sun House visitors of all ages, and tasty refreshments will be available throughout. Authors of four recently published local history books –"Ukiah," "The Chinese in Mendocino County," "The Early Mendocino County Coast," and "Photographers' Vintage Treasures and the People Who Wore Them" – will be on hand to sign and sell copies of their books. The Museum's new contemporary photography exhibit, "Through the Viewfinder: Mendocino Landscapes" will also be open for viewing.
