The frontier town of Willits California is known as the Gateway to the Redwoods. North of the town is the start of the amazing redwood forest of northern California, home to the Avenue of the Giants.

A stay in Willits provides you with a central location from which to the most popular attractions in Mendocino County. Some of the more fascinating sights will want to visit will include: the Avenue of the Giants, north of Willits across the county border in Humboldt. The Mendocino County Museum is also in Willits. The museum has a large collection of Native American artifacts, specifically relating to the Pomo Indians of this area.
