About Yorkville
Located in Mendocino's Anderson Valley, Yorkville is one of several towns along winding Route 128 that have taken the wine industry by storm. Yorkville was once full of apple trees, but now boasts a few of the best wine cellars in the area.

Generally speaking, it's easy to miss this town, though it's the first one you'll reach if you're traveling northwest on Route 128. A blink of the eye will cause visitors to overlook Yorkville and proceed towards the coast, but a stop in this little town is definitely worth the time it takes to pull the car over and explore.

Be sure to do a little wine-tasting at one of Yorkville's up-and-coming wineries, known specifically for their pinot noir, chardonnay, sparkling wine, and zinfandel. Snap some photos of the beautiful countryside - complete with grazing sheep and beautiful orchards - before you head on to the larger, more-populated towns up the road a bit. If you decide to stay, lodging includes a few affordable cabins as well as a Bed and Breakfast or two.
