Mendocino County has a sound governmental structure in place that provides the citizens of the county with the services they need in order to live a safe and happy lifestyle.

Most Mendocino government offices - such as planning, transportation, tax collector, and public health - are located in Ukiah, the county seat. While it may be necessary to visit these offices personally to accomplish some tasks, in many instances, government help is just a phone call away.

You'll also find that the other major incorporated cities of Mendocino - such as Point Arena, Fort Bragg, and Willits - have their own city government in place to take care of the needs of their residents. Elected mayors and council members are responsible for the well-being of those who live in these cities.
