About The California Wool And Fiber Festival


Content: The ninth annual California Wool and Fiber Festival is scheduled for September 15-17, 2006 at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, California. The festival is held in conjunction with the 80th annual California National Wool Show and the Mendocino County Fair and Apple Show.

The California Wool and Fiber Festival features three days of ongoing demonstrations, including sheep shearing, sheep dog trials, spinning, knitting and weaving, wool judging, and a display area of various sheep and fiber animals. Fiber artists from around the state will have booths displaying their works and offering fleeces, fiber, hand-spun yarn and related items for sale. Sheep show competitions for both Juniors and Seniors are held on Saturday. Festival hours are 10AM to 7PM Friday and Saturday and 10AM to 6PM Sunday.
