A grocery store with a deli sandwich service in the meat department.Great local vibe, everybody knows everybody else. Grocery goods are a little pricy but the fresh seafood is tough to beat. We bought two, 2 lb crabs that were caught and cooked the night before and had ourselves a feast last night. Probably the best option for fresh crab on our way up the Mendocino coast and definitely cheaper than going to a restaurant in Mendo or Fort Bragg for a winter crab fix.

Fresh steaks and Clover Vanilla Beach ice cream.

That is all you want and that is all you need from this excellent grocery store in the middle of Philo.

I am still amazed by the quality and freshness of produce they had there.

In and out.

Now back to the house for some grubbing.

Small grocery in Philo has great sandwiches, made to order! Locals frequent this all purpose grocery, deli, meat market, wine shop, etc. Staff are friendly and food is economical compared to high end deli's in area. Pick up some sandwiches and head to Navarro or Goldeneye for a picnic overlooking the vineyards. A must do while wine tasting in Anderson Valley.

It's the only store in town.  The fish and crab are extremely fresh, but the dry goods and produce is way over-priced.  Even for this area.  Stock up before coming camping.  Also, when parking make sure not to park the "city" way.
