Al’s Redwood Room is a family owned and operated bar and restaurant that first opened in 1901 in the Willits Hotel as a bar only.

Al’s features grass- and grain-fed beef and wild-caught salmon.  We also offer an eight-page Thai menu in addition to traditional American dishes such as steak, fish and chips, burgers, grilled sandwiches, spare ribs, pasta selections and vegetarian alternatives, in addition to our newly introduced Mendocino County-produced bison burger.  Prime rib with all of the trimmings is available Friday and Saturday evenings.  Don’t miss Karaoke on Wednesday nights in the bar.

You may wish to try one of our Bento Box lunches, offered from 11 am to 2 pm Monday through Saturday.  Bentos include your choice of a Teriyaki or Tempura entrée (chicken, salmon, sea bass, prawns or vegetable) served with rice, pot stickers, salad and miso soup.

We offer constantly changing season specials such as Redwood Salmon stuffed with both crab and shrimp and smothered in red or green curry.  We also offer sushi made to order.  All items are available for takeout.

Whether you choose service in the historic bar, the white table atmosphere of the dining room, or the family friendly atmosphere of the patio (where children can play on the fenced lawn while their parents enjoy a bite to eat), your food will always be cooked to your order using the finest ingredients available.
