An Index to our Cottages

Cottage 1 is a favorite cottage among the one-bedroom cottages for many of our guests because it is at the end of the lane, thus easier to concentrate on your thesis without distraction, except for the antics of the hens in the adjacent orchard, and the wild and dramatic colors in the Flower Cutting Garden in front. Cottage 1 accommodates two guests.    

In back of the cottage is a forest of redwood, fir and pine trees, and Ferguson Creek running on its way to the Ocean.

The cottage is 360 sq ft, with three rooms. The first room entered has an open kitchen on the left, the dining table and chairs in the center, and a sitting area on the right, with a gas fireplace and a big picture window embraced by the forest, with a wee view of the Ocean to be reminded of how close it is!

The bedroom has a queen size bed, and off the bedroom is the bathroom with shower.

Cottage 2 has great curb appeal among the one-bedroom cottages. It sits in front of a spacious meadow that looks through the Flower Cutting Garden to the Ocean! In back of the cottage is a forest of redwood, fir and pine trees, and Ferguson Creek running on its way to the Ocean. The cottage accommodates two guests.         
    The cottage is 360 sq ft, with three rooms. The first room entered has an open kitchen on the left, the dining table and chairs in the center, and a sitting area on the right, with a gas fireplace and a big picture window embraced by the forest, and a little view of the ocean to be reminded of how close it is!

The bedroom has a queen size bed, and off the bedroom is the bathroom with shower.

Cottage 3 is one of two large one-bedroom cottages at Mar Vista. It is a very spacious 576 sq. ft., enough to indulge stretching, or dinner with the folks! Cottage 3 is tucked back into the forest a bit, the view is of the meadow where the deer and the deer play. It accommodates two guests.     
    Upon entering, the open kitchen is on the left and the dining table and chairs are on the right, in front of the large picture window. Ahead without walls is the living area with two overstuffed loveseats, two directoire chairs, a gateleg table, and a big coffee table for board games in front of the gas fireplace.

On the left past the kitchen is a small hallway leading on the right to the bedroom, and on the left to the bathroom with shower. The bedroom has a queen size bed, and high old-fashioned camp-style sliding windows looking out to the forest, with the sounds of Ferguson Creek running on its way to the Ocean..

Cottage 4 is one of two large one-bedroom cottages at Mar Vista. It is a very spacious 576 sq. ft., enough to indulge stretching, or dinner with the folks! It accommodates two guests.

Ahead without walls is the living area with a three-seat sofa, an overstuffed indulgent chaise lounge, a coffee table big enough for board games, two other side chairs, and a wood-burning free-standing fireplace!

On the left past the kitchen is a small hallway leading on the right to the bedroom, and on the left to the bathroom with shower. The bedroom has a queen size bed, and high old-fashioned camp-style sliding windows looking out to the forest.

Cottage 5 is one of four one-bedroom cottages up on the Hill commanding a most expansive view of Mar Vista’s nine acres and the Ocean! It accommodates two guests. In back of the cottage is a forest of redwood, fir and pine trees, and Ferguson Creek running on its way to the Ocean.

The first room entered has an open kitchen on the left, the dining table and chairs in the center, and a sitting area on the right with a club chair and loveseat in front of a gas fireplace and a large picture window looking out to the expansive blue horizon of Ocean.

The bedroom has a queen size bed, and off the bedroom is the bathroom with shower.

Cottage 7 is one of four one-bedroom cottages up on the Hill commanding a most glorious view of Mar Vista’s nine acres and the Ocean! It accommodates two guests.

The cottage is 360 sq ft, with three rooms. The first room entered has an open kitchen on the left, the dining table and chairs in the center, and a sitting area on the right with two wing chairs, an ottoman, and a little bright red, free-standing wood-burning fireplace, all in front of a large picture window looking out over Mar Vista’s Edible Garden to the Ocean and the rugged coastline’s crashing white surf – the coveted North Coast’s “white water view."         
The bedroom has a queen size bed, and off the bedroom is the bathroom with shower.

Cottage 8 is one of four one-bedroom cottages up on the Hill at “The Lookout”, commanding the most glorious view of Mar Vista’s nine acres and the Ocean of all the cottages! It accommodates two guests.

There is an old stone barbeque behind the cottage facing the ocean, a grape arbor with swing, and a hammock alongside.
