Meeting Room, Cypress Way, Gualala RCMS provides Family Practice Medicine, 24-Hour On-Call After Hours Urgent Care, Specialists by Appointment and in our new facility on Highway One: Counseling Services, Shamli Volunteer Hospice Service and Community Resources Connection. The RCMS Auxiliary is an integral and official part of RCMS to help our community healthcare center support family health and to assist in fund raising for that purpose.

The mission of Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS) is to provide high quality, family-oriented, community based primary medical and dental care, including a broad range of preventive health services to residents and visitors within the coastal areas of Southern Mendocino and Northern Sonoma Counties.

RCMS is a not-for-profit health center providing a full range of healthcare services at its three clinics located in Gualala and Point Arena. Services are designed to meet identified needs of the community services, are integrated with other existing healthcare services and systems, and are evaluated on a regular basis to assure that community health needs are being met.

As a not-for-profit corporation receiving public funds, RCMS provides services to qualifed individuals on a sliding fee scale, as well as to patients with MediCal and Medicare coverage, private insurance and self pay status.

 

Primary Medical Care

At Redwood Coast Medical Services (RCMS), our mission is to provide quality, family-oriented, community based, primary medical care including a broad range of preventive health services, to residents and visitors within the coastal area of Southern Mendocino and Northern Sonoma Counties.

Healthcare services include:

• Pediatric and adult medical care, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention
• Comprehensive history and physical examination
• Management of chronic diseases, such as asthma, arthritis, etc.
• Prenatal care
• Women’s health issues
• Immunizations, HIV testing
• Mental health and counseling services for acute and chronic issues
• Nutrition, health education classes
• Specialist consultations for cardiology, orthopedics, podiatry and ophthalmology
• X-ray
• Bone density testing
• Geriatric care
• Urgent care including minor surgery and procedures (at Gualala Clinic only)

Free Clinics and Screenings
Each year, RCMS offers free screenings and clinics to area residents including Flu Shots, Cholesterol Screenings, Blood Pressure Testing, Breast Exams and PSA Tests.
