Description : Point Arena CITYART is a community non-profit art gallery whose purpose is to enhance the artistic flavor and cultural dynamic of our community by providing a physical location and an intellectual environment in which artists in this community and beyond may exhibit their work in the visual arts and by encouraging working and emerging artists to develop and discover avenues of expression.

Our community has responded with enthusiasm. The building housing CITYART on Main Street was gutted and renovated by volunteers with spirit. Each year\'s growth has demonstrated the strength of and the need for CITYART’s place in the community. For instance, in April, grade school children did a fascinating exhibition, At the Source, a Garcia watershed event. This year CITYART awarded scholarships to two graduating seniors at Point Arena High School.
